Church Planting

  • Along with many other congregations in the EPC, FPC participates in church planting as a vital part of our Kingdom witness in Beaver County. Whether that's as a planting parent to a new faith community as we were when SOMA began in 2010, or as a planting partner with other churches as we are with Mosaic in 2022, we want to invest in this Gospel work. We believe new churches are the very best way to see new people introduced to Jesus Christ, and the opportunity to support a fresh expression of faith keeps every church young (even a 200+ year old church like ours!)

For a fuller explanation of why planting new churches is so important, see this piece by Dr. Tim Keller.

  • Planted in 2010, SOMA is an EPC church located in Beaver Falls, PA.

  • The Mosaic Community Church launched in 2022 through a partnership of local EPC churches. We are always seeking people who want to grow in Christ - to join in reaching others for Christ through being a part of a church from the ground up. Grow in your walk as you interact with those new to the faith, and together with the launch team, help create paths for them to grow in Christ. Participating in the church plant is not a membership change-it’s simply a commitment for a year or two to serve and be a part of the Mosaic community (which serves as a starter for others knowing Christ). All you need to be is faithful, available and flexible. FPC is equipped to fill your role here, if needed, while you're serving at Mosaic (and it will be an opportunity for someone else to grow). Come check Mosaic out at 11:15 AM on Sundays at The YMCA Commons or contact Mosaic from their website.
