Prayer

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.
— Romans 8:26

Prayer Requests.

Please email us a prayer request if you would like a pastor, elder, or Prayer Team member to pray with you. Someone will be in touch within a day or two to schedule a mutually convenient prayer time.

The Prayer Email newsletter is a church-wide prayer request email that goes out weekly as needed to more than 500 people with prayer requests, birth announcements, and sympathy notices.

Deacons: Meeting Tangible Needs

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
— Matthew 11:28

At FPC Beaver, we have a diaconate made up of a board of deacons. The deacons oversee the care of the church body.

Deacons are available to assist with needs ranging from bill payments or other financial hardships to camp scholarships for families hoping to send their kids to camps and retreats.

Contact Ron Cepek, Associate Pastor, to get in touch with the diaconate and to explore the help available.

Care & Support Groups

Here at FPC, we want you to be loved and known. Various support and care groups meet with differing rhythms depending on the group.

Contact Ron Cepek, Associate Pastor, for questions or additional ways to get involved.

Christian Counseling Collaborative

We work in partnership with the Christian Counseling Collaborative (CCC) and several of their gifted therapists. If you or a loved one could benefit from sitting with a professional to work through some needs related to mental health (and to be clear, we ALL could benefit), please contact Ron Cepek, Associate Pastor, to help set that up for you. We highly value counseling here at FPC.

You can also schedule with a therapist at CCC through their website or by calling 855-222-2575.

Mental Health Ministry

Mental Health Ministry exists to offer support, break the stigma, and provide education about mental illness. We desire to bridge the gap between the services needed and those available by offering love and support, connecting people to health resources, and providing education on mental health topics.

To learn more and get involved please contact Chaplain Abby Opal.

Grief Share Support Group

Our Grief Share Support Group meets on Thursday evenings, from 6:30-8:30, and is for anyone grieving the loss of someone close to them. Perhaps you have recently lost a loved one or are still working through a loss that took place several years ago. There is no timetable for the grieving process. This group holds two 14-week sessions - one in the fall and the other in the spring.

Go to our events page to view when this group is in session and to register.

Contact Ron Cepek, Associate Pastor, for questions or additional ways to get involved.

Faith in Action

We provide rides, at no cost, to Beaver County seniors over 60, who need rides within the county to medical appointments.

We also welcome new volunteer drivers! If you have a driver’s license and insurance, and no criminal record - we would be happy for you to join the team! And make a difference in the lives of seniors in our community.

Blessings Through Adoption Fellowship

A group whose mission is to reach out in Christian love. We are here to support, educate, and equip families that have adopted, are fostering to adopt, considering adoption, and grandparents who are adopting. We are also here for those just seeking guidance and answers due to infertility or other struggles. We can put families in touch with necessary service providers and give parents and children a safe place to fellowship with others who have adoption in common.
