Churchwide News

  • Sunday School for all ages is now in session from 10:15-11 a.m. See your Sunday bulletin for locations.

  • Hodge Band Rummage Sale coming in a week! Come shop on Wednesday, Oct. 1 (9 AM-7 PM) & Thursday, Oct. 2 (9 AM-noon / $1 a bag day). Begin dropping off donations on Sunday, Sept. 28 at noon. Visit fpcbeaver.com/events for more info and a list of items NOT being accepted.

  • Maze Craze All-Church Event, Oct. 26 - Plan to join us from 3-6 PM. A fun time enjoying the maze, bonfires, hayrides, games and harvest fun. $11 cost for ages 5 & above. All are welcome! (Address: Maze Craze, 14070 OH-165, New Springfield, OH 44443). Register at fpcbeaver.com/events.

  • A Beaver-opoly Game has been designed by the Blessings Through Adoption Ministry and is now for sale. All proceeds benefit the ministry. Check it out and purchase online at blessingsthroughadoption.org. Makes a great gift!

  • FPC Meal Ministry! Various times throughout the year, members of our church body could benefit from receiving a meal. If you’d like to bless others in this way - please email Ron Cepek at ron.cepek@gmail.com.

  • FPC participates in Beaver School District's Backpack Program. Throughout the school year we help in providing snacks & ready made meals for children in grades K-12, who are at risk for hunger over the weekends. Visit fpcbeaver.com/events for a donation list, or how to simply donate funds. Drop off weekly to the main office.

  • Our Psalms Sunday Sermon Series: For this series we are featuring a collection of music that comes to you weekly in the Pastors’s email, and also accessible from fpcbeaver.com/psalmsseries. We hope these songs help in preparation for or reflection on what the Lord will bring us in Sunday worship.

  • The Welcome Home Ministry is an outreach helping provide furniture and resources to empower people to start over when they have experienced loss and hardship. We are currently in need of: bed frames, dressers, small dining tables, and small love seats. Contact Stephanie Boyd at the church (sboyd@fpcbeaver.com).   • A ministry to our county: Community Home Rehabilitation Crew (CHRC). We intend to provide home repairs for individuals in our county. If you wish to be part of this volunteer ministry--handy or not--please head to our website for more information, to volunteer or to make a donation (CHRCrew.org). For questions or you're in need of a simple home repair, contact Dale Yakish (daleyakish@gmail.com) or Pastor Arnold (pastorjeffarnold@gmail.com). 

  • If you or a loved one want the Pastoral Staff to know that you need care or a visit, email us at hospital@fpcbeaver.com. If you do not have access to email, contact the church office so that the pastor on call can be contacted.

  • Please fill out our Pew Pads on Sunday mornings! We pass these around during offering time—please fill these out EVERY Sunday so we can be sure you stay current in our records and receive our mailings. Whether you are a member, regular attendee or a visitor - there is a lot going on here at FPC, we don’t want to miss anyone.

  • Men’s Breakfast - TOMORROW, September 20! Join us in the here at FPC from 7:30-9 AM. Have breakfast, enjoy hanging out with others, and also be inspired and humored by our speaker, Nate Glover, of Pittsburgh’s Urban Impact, as he shares his testimony.   • Be a part of our BREW CREW! Volunteer to make coffee for Sunday mornings on a once-a-month rotation. A great opportunity to love on others by providing awesome coffee and hospitality. Contact Stephanie (sboyd@fpcbeaver.com).

  • Men’s Fall Retreat coming Saturday, October 11. Join us as we step away from the noise of life and intentionally listen for the Lord. All men are invited for “The Unhurried Life” taking place at Prayer Mountain in Darlington, PA. Details and sign up at fpcbeaver.com/events.

  • Women’s Fall Brunch - We will be offering 2 dates, Oct. 18 & Nov. 1. Join us for a morning of connecting with a small group of women, enjoying a delicious brunch and sharing with one another around the table. Get details and register at fpcbeaver.com/events.

  • Haven of Hope is a gathering of people praying for the prodigals in their lives. Whatever the reason for our loved ones moving away from God is, we want to keep praying for God’s intervention in their lives and His wisdom for us as we stand in the gap and love them with grace and wisdom. “And He told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not lose heart” Luke 18:1.   • Mental Health Seminar: Hoarding Disorder - coming to FPC Saturday, October 18, 9 AM-noon. Details and sign ups at fpcbeaver.com/events.

  • Funeral Luncheon Help needed.  At FPC, when a family experiences loss, we provide a no cost meal following a funeral service. This amazing service has blessed so many from our community over the years. But we could use some help. If you'd like to be part of our team providing the service, food and clean up for these events, please contact Lynn in the church office.

  • Hurricane Helene Rebuild Mission (Oct. 20-26) - FPC is taking a team to Swannanoa, NC, where Valley Hope EPC Church has been steadily rebuilding homes in their community, 2 years after the storm devastation.   • Iglesia El Salvador. You may know that FPC is part of a church plant--with David Diaz as founding pastor--in Ambridge. A group of Latino people from Central and South America have been gathering at Church of the Savior (which is, interestingly, what Iglesia El Salvador means) for months now. If you have participated in the past, or have some Spanish speaking skills and/or interest to learn more, please contact Jeff Arnold at (pastorjeffarnold@gmail.com).

  • Interested in becoming a Stephen Minister? As a Stephen Minister you’d be trained to provide one on one care with someone going through a life struggle. This is a listening ministry that shares Christ’s love and care to people in need. Adult Information

  • Get plugged into a Small Group – This is an excellent opportunity to study scripture, pray with others and learn to live together in loving and caring communities. If you are not currently in a small group and would like to be in one as we come into the  fall, we encourage you to register here. You can choose to register for a men’s, women’s, or co-ed group.   • Men’s Ministry here at FPC! Get involved in a men’s discipleship group. You can sign up here and join in anytime!

  • Faith in Action is still in need of more volunteer drivers! NO requirement of how many rides you would need to provide - as this volunteer program is very flexible. Contact Carla McKrell at (814) 450-3985. Driving is mainly within Beaver and Brighton Twp. (Faith in Action is a special ministry that provides rides to older citizens who are shut in. Generally, these rides are provided for those 60 and over.)

  • Looking for Greeters! An easy and rewarding way to serve with a smile. If you’re already here on Sunday mornings – why not bring joy by welcoming congregants into worship. It is a once-a-month opportunity to serve. Contact Lucinda (lpelka@fpcbeaver.com).

  • SPARKS (K-2nd) on Mondays, 4:30-5:30 PM. Meet us in the Fellowship Hall for play, Music time and Bible study on the 10 Commandments. This week we will learn that we must not worship created things, but only God the Creator.

  • QUEST (3rd-5th) on Thursdays, 6:30-8 PM. Join us for games, snack, Bible lesson & small group time - GOD LEADS. This week we will look at the story of a woman who followed God to lead the people of Israel through a challenging time. And we will discover that God leads us to the victory of eternal life.
