  • Regular Sunday Worship Schedule begins on September 13. Mark your calendars for this slight time change.

  • Donations for the Preschool at First! Please return your donated items by September 6 to the giving tree in the hallway Connections Spot. This wonderful ministry of FPC serves our youngest learners, and your generosity helps provide a great start to the school year. Thank you for helping support and encourage our Preschool at First families and staff!

  • FPC 24/7 Prayer Week - Join us as we pray with Christians around the world during the Global Week of Prayer. Make you plans in 1 week for the dates Sunday, September 6 - Sunday the 13th. Get signed up for a prayer slot and learn info about FPC’s Prayer Room at fpcbeaver.com/events.

  • The Social Lab at FPC: A new co-ed group for preteens to build confidence, improve communication and figure out real-life social situations together. Coming Mondays, 4:30-6:30 PM Sept. 14-Oct. 19, for students entering 4th-6th grade. Grab a flyer from the Connections spot with more details and how to get involved. 

  • Blessings Through Adoption is raffling a Grand Playhouse to raise funds benefiting their ministry. Raffle tickets are $10, cash or checks only - contact Cynthia at crenfroe@blessingsthroughadoption.orgor call/text Cynthia at 724-650-9331. Grab a flyer from the Connections Spot to learn more and see a photo of the playhouse.

  • Hodge Band Rummage Sale is back this fall, on Wednesday, Oct. 7 (9 a.m.-7 p.m.) & Thursday, Oct. 8 (9 AM-noon). As you are cleaning up around the house, you can plan ahead for any donations. Begin dropping off donations on Sunday, Oct. 4, in Fellowship Hall, starting at 12:30. For more info and a list of items NOT being accepted, visit fpcbeaver.com/events.

  • Military Mission - A box is in the office for the collection of donations that will be shipped to our Military. List of items include Granola, Fruit or Protein Bars, Cookie & Cracker Packs, Tuna & Chicken Packs, Trail Mix, Microwave Soup & Popcorn.   • Security at FPC: As our security implementation has progressed, we could still use some volunteer security people on our teams. This would require about 1 1/2 hours per month during Sunday mornings. If you’d like more information, please contact Coordinator John Muslovski at jpmuslovski@gmail.com or Jeff at pastorjeffarnold@gmail.com. ‍ ‍

  • 9 AM Overflow Worship: Each Sunday, at our 9 AM Fellowship Hall service, we have overflow in our Commons. We’re looking for servant-hearted individuals/families who will voluntarily sign up, one Sunday per month. This helps create ample seating so we can continue to welcome newcomers into our Fellowship Hall Service each week. If you’re willing, go to fpcbeaver.com/events, Overflow Worship to sign up for a particular Sunday. If you’re running late and notice limited space, just head over to the Commons!

  • FPC is hiring a full time Director of Contemporary Worship & Worship Technology. Details and how to apply at fpcbeaver.com/careers. 

  • The Welcome Home Ministry is an outreach helping provide furniture and resources to empower people to start over when they have experienced loss and hardship. We are currently in need of: bed frames, dressers, small dining tables, and small love seats. Contact Stephanie Boyd at the church (sboyd@fpcbeaver.com).   • A ministry to our county: Community Home Rehabilitation Crew (CHRC). We intend to provide home repairs for individuals in our county. If you wish to be part of this volunteer ministry--handy or not--please head to our website for more information, to volunteer or to make a donation (CHRCrew.org). For questions or you're in need of a simple home repair, contact Dale Yakish (daleyakish@gmail.com) or Pastor Arnold (pastorjeffarnold@gmail.com). 

  • If you or a loved one want the Pastoral Staff to know that you need care or a visit, email us at hospital@fpcbeaver.com. If you do not have access to email, contact the church office so that the pastor on call can be contacted.

  • Stephen Ministers are waiting: Don’t struggle alone… Stephen Ministers are available to walk with you. Call 412-974-3168.

  • The FPC Deacons are here to help with needs. If you have a situation that you need help with, contact the church office or Trisha (412-496-3088 / trishagood@gmail.com).

  • Please fill out our Pew Pads on Sunday mornings! We pass these around during offering time—please fill these out EVERY Sunday so we can be sure you stay current in our records and receive our mailings. Whether you are a member, regular attendee or a visitor - there is a lot going on here at FPC, we don’t want to miss anyone.

  • Young Adult Lunch - We hope you'll join us Sunday, September 13, for our fall Young Adult lunch at 12:30 in The Commons! We'll be sharing about what's coming up in the Young Adult Ministry.   • Young Adult Bible Study - Mark your calendars! Young Adult Bible study starts again Monday nights from 7-8:30 PM beginning September 14. 

  • Budget, Stewardship and Accounting “BSA” Committee is seeking new members. This committee meets every 4th Monday, 7 PM, to oversee the church finances and budgeting process. If interested, or for questions, email Rick Sliper at rick-slip@hotmail.com.

  • Worship & Music is looking for a few people interested in serving on the committee? We meet on the 3rd Monday of every month. For more info or to join, please contact Don Williams (don.r.williams@gmail.com).

  • Interested in becoming a Stephen Minister? As a Stephen Minister you’d be trained to provide one on one care with someone going through a life struggle. This is a listening ministry that shares Christ’s love and care to people in need. If interested and want to learn more, contact Kathy Davis at daviskbc@comcast.net.  

Adult Information

  • Get plugged into a Small Group – This is an excellent opportunity to study scripture, pray with others and learn to live together in loving and caring communities. If you are not currently in a small group and would like to be in one as we come into the  fall, we encourage you to register here. You can choose to register for a men’s, women’s, or co-ed group. Contact Jeremiah Stauffer with questions.

  • Men’s Ministry here at FPC! Get involved in a men’s discipleship group. You can sign up here and join in anytime!

  • Faith in Action always needs more volunteer drivers! NO requirement of how many rides you would need to provide - as this volunteer program is very flexible. Contact Carla McKrell at (814) 450-3985. Driving is mainly within Beaver and Brighton Twp. (Faith in Action is a special ministry that provides rides to older citizens who are shut in. Generally, these rides are provided for those 60 and over.)

  • Looking for Greeters for 11 AM service - An easy and rewarding way to serve with a smile. If you’re already here on Sunday mornings – why not bring joy by welcoming congregants into worship. It is a once-a-month opportunity to serve. Contact Lucinda (lpelka@fpcbeaver.com).
