Help bless the Preschool at First! As the new preschool year begins, you can help by donating much-needed supplies. Stop by the Giving Tree at the Connection Spot this Sunday to pick up a donation tag. Please return your donated items by September 6. This wonderful ministry serves our youngest learners, and your generosity will help provide a great start to the school year. We thank you!
Church in the Park: Picnic following - Plan ahead to attend on Sunday, August 23, 10-2! We will move both Sunday worship services to a combined service at Shaw Park (the Beaver Pool House event space). Right after, in the same location, will be our all-church picnic. Philly Project Recap Dinner - Join this Sunday, August 9, from 5:30-7 PM in the Commons. Our Youth and Youth Leaders will share with us after returning from their latest mission. Serve Our Schools (SOS) tomorrow, Saturday, August 8, 8:30 AM-1:30 PM. Together, we’ll come alongside Rochester and New Brighton school districts for a morning of volunteer service to assist them as they prepare for the new school year, while building unity among churches and individuals. The Social Lab at FPC: A new co-ed group for preteens to build confidence, improve communication and figure out
real-life social situations together. Coming Mondays, 4:30-6:30 PM Sept. 14-Oct. 19, for students entering 4th-6th grade. Grab a flyer from the Connections spot with more details and how to get involved.Blessings Through Adoption is raffling a Grand Playhouse to raise funds benefiting their ministry. Military Mission - A box is in the office for the collection of donations that will be shipped to our Military. List of items include Granola, Fruit or Protein Bars, Cookie & Cracker Packs, Tuna & Chicken Packs, Trail Mix, Microwave Soup & Popcorn. Security at FPC: As our security implementation has progressed, we could still use some volunteer security people on our teams. This would require about 1 1/2 hours per month during Sunday mornings. 9 AM Overflow Worship: Each Sunday, at our 9 AM Fellowship Hall service, we have overflow in our Commons. We’re looking for servant-hearted individuals/families who will voluntarily sign up, one Sunday per month. This helps create ample seating so we can continue to welcome newcomers into our Fellowship Hall Service each week. If you’re willing, go to fpcbeaver.com/events, Overflow Worship to sign up for a particular Sunday. If you’re running late and notice limited space, just head over to the Commons!

The Welcome Home Ministry is an outreach helping provide furniture and resources to empower people to start over when they have experienced loss and hardship. We are currently in need of: bed frames, dressers, small dining tables, and small love seats. Contact Stephanie Boyd at the church (sboyd@fpcbeaver.com). A ministry to our county: Community Home Rehabilitation Crew (CHRC). We intend to provide home repairs for individuals in our county. Interested in becoming a Stephen Minister? As a Stephen Minister you’d be trained to provide one on one care with someone going through a life struggle. Adult Information
Get plugged into a Small Group – This is an excellent opportunity to study scripture, pray with others and learn to live together in loving and caring communities. If you are not currently in a small group and would like to be in one as we come into the fall, we encourage you to register here. You can choose to register for a men’s, women’s, or co-ed group. Faith in Action always needs more volunteer drivers! NO requirement of how many rides you would need to provide - as this volunteer program is very flexible. Contact Carla McKrell at (814) 450-3985. Driving is mainly within Beaver and Brighton Twp. (Faith in Action is a special ministry that provides rides to older citizens who are shut in. Generally, these rides are provided for those 60 and over.)
Looking for Greeters for 11 AM service - An easy and rewarding way to serve with a smile. If you’re already here on Sunday mornings – why not bring joy by welcoming congregants into worship. It is a once-a-month opportunity to serve. Contact Lucinda (lpelka@fpcbeaver.com).
