Ready Yourselves Youth Ranch
RYYR is a Christian ministry that brings horses in need of rescue with children dealing with challenges and difficulties who need to find out the hope and healing of Jesus Christ. The Mission Statement of Ready Yourselves Youth Ranch states that RYYR exists to be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ by bringing together rescue horses, children in need, and volunteer mentors who are ready to shine the light of Jesus, even in the darkest night, creating a safe and loving environment ready for God’s love. RYYR serves children from 6 to 18 and connects one child, one horse, and one mentor for 8-weekly 90-minute sessions of interactive experiences at no cost to the child. Learning to care for and ride horses increases a child’s trust, faith, and love. If a child is not interested in caring for a horse, he/she has the opportunity to learn how to fish with his/her mentor, build a birdhouse, engage in crafts, and simply engage in play. RYYR strives to make sure that children feel and see God’s love in all of their experiences at the ranch through the help of the mentor and the horse.
