Intended to bless couples with kids, this evening means that you can have a once-a-month date together with FREE childcare. Parents who participate are asked to donate one evening during the year to help with babysitting. We also welcome grandparent volunteers who want to see marriage thrive at FPC. Sign up in the hallway so we know you are coming; give us a contact number and the ages of your kids so we can be prepared!
Date Nites for Spring 2010 are: March 19th, April 16th and May 21st. To register: rmatsco@fpcbeaver.com or 724/494.2409.

ABOUT US...
The health of our marriages, the parenting and passing on of the faith to our children and the intimacy of family life are key aspects of God’s sanctifying work in his people. While God’s glory through the furthering of His kingdom is the ultimate goal, the immediate target of this ministry is to enhance the viability and health of marriages through the refinement of skills that sustain, improve and enrich those relationships.
Several events and educational opportunities each year to encourage and build up parents and partners in their family relationships. Below is a schedule of events; please contact us for up-to-date information as programs are subject to change.
First Presbyterian Church is blessed to be sponsoring marriage education in the

Taking it on the road…
We can also conduct classes for your church, company or organization at your site. With the partnership of TWOgether Pittsburgh, trained facilitators will conduct a marriage skills program at your location for weekend intensive programming or classes held over several weeks. Cost is minimal and fees may be waived upon review. We require a minimum of 4-6 couples to hold classes; all materials will be provided.
For more information, contact Ministry Coordinator Rebecca Matsco.
We're excited to work with The Franklin Center in 2009, bringing relationship enrichment to the community through TWOgether Pittsburgh programs, including Why Knot? for young men
and "LoveThinks" for singles.
In 2010...
For Aliquippa singles
Beginning in March with Refreshing Springs Ministry
Premarital Interpersonal Choices & Knowledge helps singles to overcome the typical hazards of an under-developed education of the mind and an over-developed attachment to the heart that can jeopardize future marriage success. Participants will learn clear values for determining the health of their current relationship as well as the compatibility of a future partner. This weekend workshop considers the major areas that predict what a person will be like in marriage and the bonding forces that must be kept in balance as a relationship grows.
