Our congregation is enrolled in the Stephen Series, a complete system of training and organizing lay persons for caring, confidential, ministry in and around their congregations.

Stephen Ministry is a program of our congregation that equips lay persons to provide distinctively Christian one on one, confidential care to those who are experiencing all kinds of life needs and circumstances, both in our congregation and community.

            Stephen Ministers are committed Christian people who…….

v      Express God’s care through their lives to others

v      Receive 50 hours of initial training in important caring ministry skills and concepts

v      Are commissioned as Stephen Ministers after completing their initial training

v      Visit another person regularly and dependably and offer Christian support and care

v      Participate in regular support and supervision under the guidance of trained Stephen Leaders

v      Are committed to preserving the confidential nature of the caring relationship

v      Serve at least two years

v      Receive continuing education and skill building throughout their years of service

Stephen Ministry is grounded in Jesus’ command to love one another.  Through one-to-one caring relationships, those who are hurting receive the love and care they need to support them.

Is life more than you can handle alone right now?

Are you adjusting to a new job, a change in marital status, a serious illness, the death of a loved one, a recent move or similar circumstance?

Everyone goes through difficult times.  Having someone to care, to listen, to share God’s love with you can help you get through the confusion, stress or loneliness you may be experiencing at this time.

Stephen Ministry is a CONFIDENTIAL ministry:  those receiving care can be sure that their identity and what goes on in the caring relationship will remain private.
