We want to see relationships spring up naturally and authentically as we share in Jesus' life together. Here are some of the chances to connect @ FPC that typically draw folks from the 18 to early 30's crowd.
Summer of 2010 - if you're a high school grad, college student home for the summer, or 20-something, check out what we're up to this summer @ http://youngadultsfpc.blogspot.com.
Small groups – the best way to dig deeper into the things of God and build intitate community with others. To join an established & intergenerational (all ages) group, contact Henry Knapp. For more information or to join up with a group specifically geared toward young adults, get in touch with me (Marc de Jeu).
Marriage & Parenting – two aspects of life that are unbelievably rewarding and extremely challenging. Look here to find out more about some resources we offer to help.
M.O.P.S. – Mothers of Pre-Schoolers is a twice-a-month gathering of…guess who? Check out more info here.
Date Night for Couples w/ Kids - Finding quality time together can be, well, a challenge. So, on the third Friday of every month, FPC will make possible a date night for couples with children. Free childcare is available @ the church from 6:30 - 9:30pm so you can go spend some time with each other. Contact Rebecca Matsco for more information.
Dinners for Eight - Jesus knew the community-power of sharing a meal. This is a community-building opportunity for couples and singles of all ages. Beginning October 3, 2009, you will meet for dinner, in each other's homes, with seven other people. At least 4 meals will be shared in your group between October 2009 and April 2010. Sign-ups are throughout September. For more info or to sign up, contact Rachel Maize.
Basketball - most Saturday mornings @ 8am, we're meeting to play some ball in the FPC Fellowship Hall. Come for fitness, fellowship, and fun. This is a great entry-point into the life of the church. To check on whether we're off this week, contact Andrew Parshall.
Summer softball – two fun squads & nobody breaking bats over their knee (if you know what I mean). For more info or to sign up, contact Andrew and Allison Parshall.
Preschool – if you have three or four-year-old kids, you might be interested in the FPC Preschool. To register or find out more about how we can help your child develop spiritually, socially, emotionally, cognitively-intellectually, and musically, look here.
Geneva College rides - if you're a college student at nearby Geneva and need a ride to/from our 9am worship service, get in touch with one of the following folks: Becky Case (director of Geneva's Pisgah program), Jeff Cole (Geneva Prof), or Bud Chevalier (FPC member & great guy -724-643-4104).
The Soma Gathering – our new worship service/church plant. Check out more about it here.
