First Presbyterian Church is committed to educating and nurturing the next generations in the truth of God revealed to us in the Bible. We have a mix of opportunities for children who have grown up in the church and children who are new to the Christian faith. From loving care of infants to the challenge to walk with Christ as a pre-teen our goal is for children not to just know about God, but to trust him in the early years of life.

Quest

Quest kicked-off again on September 12th. But it's not too late to join us. We meet Wednesdays, from 4:30 to 6:00pm. Our activities include - Games, Snack, and Bible Time with Small Groups. This year we are studying the promises of God to discover more about God, His Word, and how to live for Him. Come this Wednesday or join us for one of the Special Events.

Program Description: The 4th, 5th and 6th grade afterschool program is hosted each Wednesday, from 4:30 - 6:00pm in the Fellowship Hall. The time together includes playing games, learning what the Bible has to say about our everyday lives, and building positive community. Children often bring friends and this provides a relaxed setting in which to discuss the Gospel.

Children’s Music

Children in 1st through 6th grade are invited to join us for Choir & Handbells. Come sing and ring God's praises. We meet on Mondays, from 4:15 to 5:30pm beginning September 10th.

Program Description: This children's music ministry is held on Mondays, from 4:15 to 5:30pm. Children will sing and play the bells or chimes each week and share the music in worship. Contact Emily Gedman with questions.

Nursery

Care of infants and toddlers is available during 9:00 and 11:15 worship services, as well as during the 10:15 Sunday School hour. All childrens nurseries are located on the first floor near the church office.

Program Description: In 3 rooms of the church each Sunday morning, there are people ministering to our youngest generation here at FPC. Whether it's in a comforting hug, a feeding, a soothing rock in a rocking chair, praying for a child, building a block tower, coloring a cross, reading a Bible story, or singing "Jesus Loves Me" - God's servants are helping to build a foundation. A foundation in the lives of our smallest children that shows the love of Christ through the love we share with them and the early teaching of His truth. This ministry also allows the parents of young children to be nurtured and to grow in their faith in worship, with the comfort of knowing that loving caregivers are looking after their little ones.

Sunday School

Classes are available for 2-year-olds, pre-schoolers, and each school grade up through 6th grade. Each class is team taught and we treasure the opportunity to watch the Holy Spirit enliven faith in children! These classes are held in the Children's Wing of the church from 10:15-11:05 each Sunday.
